Job Summary

The candidate shall lead product development with expertise in functional film R&D, processing, material science, adhesives, and the latest film formation technologies.

Roles & Responsibilities

Below are the key points for the job profile
* Lead product development with expertise in functional film R&D, processing, and material science.
* Possess knowledge of extrudable, injection process, calender films, solvent process films, and latest commercial film formation technologies.
* Deep understanding of adhesives, including permanent, removable, and pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA), tailored for low surface energy substrates and advanced adhesive technologies.
* Proficiency in polymeric materials and their structure-property relationships.
* Utilize film processing additives for thin film formation and surface modification for printable inks.
* Hands-on experience in film testing, assessing durability, exposure, and mechanical strength.
* Expertise in various printing technologies, including water-based, solvent, and eco-solvent.
* Apply color science and physics to achieve desired shade and matting effects.
* Understand and benchmark commercial graphics applications to ensure product competitiveness.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and continuous improvement.
* Innovate and optimize product formulations to meet market demands and enhance performance.
* Develop and scale up new film formulations from lab to commercial production.
* Investigate and integrate new materials to advance product capabilities and sustainability.
* Provide technical support and training to customers on product applications and best practices.
* Experience working with raw material suppliers and third-party contract manufacturers.

Qualification:

1. B.Tech, M.Tech, PhD in Polymer Science/Technology, Material Science, or a related field.
2. 5 to 12 years of experience in product development, functional film R&D, and material science.
3. Proven expertise in adhesives, polymeric materials, film processing, and advanced printing technologies.
4. Experience collaborating with raw material suppliers and third-party contract manufacturers.
